The New Mexico Tourism Department has awarded $546,888 in cooperative grants to 50 statewide local, nonprofit and tribal entities for advertising and marketing efforts.
“This program allows destinations of all sizes to stretch their tourism dollars,” Tourism Secretary Monique Jacobson said in a news release. “Destinations, historical sites and festivals are seeing the value in marketing together. We have so many treasures throughout the entire state and we want to assist them in making a name for themselves.”

At the Tourism Association of New Mexico (TANM) Governor’s Conference on Tourism today, the City of Roswell was recognized for excellence in the NM tourism industry at the TANM Tourism Industry Recognition Awards (TIARA).
