is there anything that really works for this? A client just purchased a new horse. We were told it was a light cribber... Well, it cribs all the time even with the newer Dare cribbing collar. This is a very nice horse and is now getting lots of turn out in a field where he is also cribbing on the fences!

Phew...good question....from a bodywork point of view I have used acupressure and massage to release tension in the affected areas....others have suggested checking with an equine nutritionist and check for stressors in the environment....as yo uknow it is tough to break the pattern....

This is Susan Faulkner Evans and Parker. They have been competing successfully in dressage at 3rd and 4th level with scores in the lower 70's at rated shows. You have probably heard people saying that you need to ride through your "core". This is when the rider is connected from the their elbows (connected lightly to the horses mouth) to their seatbones and down through their legs. It is when the riders position is connected to the horse.

It's amazing what a metronome can do for a horses balance. By finding the right rhythm we can improve the gaits. In this session, Susan Faulkner Evans is focusing on the trot rhythm. As you will see, the quality of Beau's gaits gets better. We have used a metronome before on Beau, but that was back when he still had a few "mental" issues that he came to us with.

In this session we added the Metronome to see if Beau is really keeping an even rhythm. We have used it before, but felt that it was time to play with the metronome again as Beau has come to a new level of training.
