New York regulators are expected to adopt a rule Nov. 29 setting new standards for the use of shock wave therapy on Thoroughbred horses.
@HoofcareJournal writes: Does shock wave therapy have an analgesic effect? Obviously regulators in New York think it does. They suggest that a horse should wait ten days after a shock wave treatment before racing or breezing.
