The Executive Suite: How YouTube Cards will Transform Marketing

The Executive Suite: How YouTube Cards will Transform Marketing | Marketing with Social Media | Scoop.it
For any marketer or business professional, YouTube annotations have been a well-known and highly regarded YouTube tool. For those that don’t know, annotations are clickable lines of text that overlay a YouTube video. These are used to drive traffic to various other videos or websites for further marketing and conversion opportunities. YouTube is now getting ready to abolish the text and replace it with “YouTube Cards”. If you missed out on the annotation train, however, not to worry. These new cards will be far more capable and appealing than the previous model, and annotations will still be hanging around for a short while.

WOW! Does this appear to be a powerful and promising tool, or what? If you're into making video, you might want to get used to using Mozilla Firefox for a while and then start using Popcorn Maker when it's time to make those new, shiney movies! Wonder what our friends at FAME thing about this?

Aulde de Barbuat's curator insight, April 15, 2013 4:49 PM

Looks like the ideal tool. Great that it is open source.

Daniels's curator insight, April 16, 2013 10:53 AM

A hot tool IMO, I am soon going to try it.

The Official Content Curation Tools Universe Map

The Official Content Curation Tools Universe Map | Marketing with Social Media | Scoop.it

Robin Good: Everytime I see a new post or article claiming to list the best content curation tools I know I am in for some disappointment.

Most of these lists just pick up names from other lists without even bothering to check, test or verify what these tools actually do, whether they are still available. Unfortunately the rush to put out "curated" list of tools and services has created more misinformation than useful lists.

But if you, like me, are on the lookout for new and effective tools to curate your own content or the one of your customers, I have created a comprehensive map of all the curation tools available online and I keep it fresh and updated almost on a daily basis.

The map presently lists over 250 content curation tools which you can navigate much more easily than it was possible on my earlier versions of this map.

On the right side of the map you will find all of the news and content curation tools available online today. On the left side, you can find bookmarking, link lists builders, clippers and lots of tools to operate with RSS feeds (which are still at the heart of a curator's job).

Create YoutTube Video Playlists with YTPlaylist

Create YoutTube Video Playlists with YTPlaylist | Marketing with Social Media | Scoop.it

YouTube provides visual marketing in ways that other platforms fall short. Videos with instructions on how to use your product, excerpts of you reading a book with an audience, and book trailers give your potential customers insight into what makes your award-winning product or service stand out.

This article is about YTPlaylist, but there are other ways to use video as well: embed in your blog or website, add to your product page with an online merchant, even include it on a CD as part of your media kid.

This article came in via Scoop. It and is in our Honoree Marketing collection.

Robin Good: If you are looking for one of the most effective ways to create a YouTube video playlist, while retaining full control of what to include and what to leave out, here is the tool you need: YTPlaylist.

You input a search query.

YTPlaylist provides a list of relevant results.

You check the ones you want to include.

You review, shuffle, delete, move over your picks until you are happy.
You click save and the job is done.
You take the embed code or link URL and off you go.

Free to use.

I tested vibop and it's a useful tool to make quick enrichments to your videos: It's a pity that the themes are only available for the iphone app and not for the web app integrated in youtube (as expected) .

Regarding intro, editing & effects functionalities, they're both in the iphone and web app.
