Marrington’s National Elementary Honors Society held its first meeting Tuesday, March 1. At this meeting officers were nominated and elected. Marrington’s Chapter has elected fifth-grader Benjamin Cook as president; fourth-grader Nathan Arroyo as vice-president; fifth-grader Owen Osborne as secretary; and fifth-grader Jillian Farmer as treasurer. These students are Marrington’s top of the top and being elected by this group is a great accomplishment and honor. The Honor Society is sponsored by Katie Lamb, gifted and talented fifth grade teacher extraordinaire and former teacher of the year, and Alyssa Seyfried, fourth-grade gifted and talented teacher and expert in all things!
