Homo Agilis (Collective Intelligence, Agility and Sustainability : The Future is already here)
For and about all those people working to build together a sustainable world through collective intelligence and agility. Knowledge to share and collective behaviours to adopt to build and foster a sustainable future for all of us.
«The future is already here – it's just not evenly distributed»

The Social Enterprise

The Social Enterprise | Homo Agilis (Collective Intelligence, Agility and Sustainability : The Future is already here) | Scoop.it
Social collaboration has been more art than science. Organizations and practitioners have experienced this on their own skin and the unfortunate truth is well known among consultants. While any company and any project are a different story, I believe there is still much to learn. Other than directly helping our clients, together with Stefano Besana I've tried to accelerate this growing awareness by launching the Social Collaboration Survey, the first free, public, quantitative study in Italy regarding the challenges, best practices and most effective strategies for success in Social Enterprise initiatives.300 companies from every industry and of every size have generously shared their data and perspective to let the entire market understand both the state of Social Collaboration and the critical levers that distinguish top performers from laggards. Thanks to it, in the results you'll find detailed information about the level of maturity, business benefits, barriers,

Alfredo Corell's curator insight, May 3, 2:12 PM

By Sara Briggs

Using TED Talks to convey an important message or spark creativity might be more effective in teaching students than an individual agenda or preconceived notion of what should be said. Furthermore, TED Talks challenges educators everywhere to think differently and encourage the same in their students.

These are the best TED Talks for any educator because they make us laugh, warm our hearts, break down barriers, and always inspire us to dig a little deeper and push a little harder, challenging your educator perspective.

"Utopian Potential of the Internet": Astra Taylor on How to Take Back Power & Culture in Digital Age

"Utopian Potential of the Internet": Astra Taylor on How to Take Back Power & Culture in Digital Age | Homo Agilis (Collective Intelligence, Agility and Sustainability : The Future is already here) | Scoop.it
We are joined by author and activist Astra Taylor, whose new book, "The People’s Platform: Taking Back Power and Culture in the Digital Age," argues net neutrality is just the beginning of ensuring equal access and representation online. "The utopian potential of the net is real," Taylor notes. "The problem is the underlying economic conditions haven’t changed. The same old business imperatives, the same old incentives that shaped the old model and made it so problematic are still with us. The Internet might have disrupted investigative journalism, but it didn’t disrupt advertising."

Claude Emond's insight:

«With the vast majority of Facebook users caught in a frenzy of ‘friending’, ‘liking’ and ‘commenting’, at what point do we pause to grasp the consequences of our info-saturated lives? What compels us to engage so diligently with social networking systems? Networks Without a Cause examines our collective obsession with identity and self-management coupled with the fragmentation and information overload endemic to contemporary online culture.»

8 Technologies That Will Shape Future Classrooms

8 Technologies That Will Shape Future Classrooms | Homo Agilis (Collective Intelligence, Agility and Sustainability : The Future is already here) | Scoop.it

What does the future of learning hold? What will classrooms of the future be like? Emerging technologies such as cloud computing, augmented reality (AR) and 3D printing are paving the way for the future of education in ways we may have yet to see. At the very least though, we can extrapolate from what these promising technologies and predict how schools will adopt them in time to come.
