The Webb County Sheriff's Office says it's found a new way to fight crime and it involves help from an I-phone. A brand new I-phone application released today is aimed at giving tech savvy Webb county community members a way to report burglaries, drug trafficking, prostitution and any other suspicious crime to authorities as its happening.
The crime-fighting television shows are correct: Police are using high-tech equipment to help capture bad guys. Although local agencies may lack the high drama and the big, grisly cases highlighted in the world of fiction, real-world officers utilize advances in communications and computer technology for investigations.
