The competition of Pro- Tools? The New Pro Audio suite for OS X called the Sound Forge is a new audio recording, editing and mastering software that Sony has release for the Mac pro. This software has good features and also new ones for editing but it is proved that Pro- Tools still has a bigger range of features and Plug-ins.
I chose to scoop this information because it talks more about the Sound Forge Pro and it has a list of the different features that it has included in it. Also these features are separated like in categories.
The PC edition of Sound Forge Pro 10 currently sells for around $375. Its obvious competition is Apple's own Logic Pro 9 suite, which became a $199 Mac App Store app as of last year, down from the its old $499 Logic Studio ...
Jonel Rivera's insight:
I chose to scoop this because is short but it has information that I didn't knew. Apparently, this software Sound Forge already existed a long time ago but only for the PC. Now, Sony has recreated this software for the Mac users and obviously is going to be more popular now. This source is reliable because it has links that direct you to Mac Pro websites like FinallyOnMac and it also has a video of this software running on a Mac Pro computer.
I am adding this topic to my scoop because is interesting to know about a new software that is coming out for the industry. Even though it is proved that is not better than Pro' Tools it still being a new challenge and a new software to learn and to use. Maybe in the use, engineers can find something in which this software is better than Pro-Tools. This also gives variety and new opportunities for those who are learning how to use these types of software.
I added this Scoop because many of the other pages of information do not reveal how it is to use the Sound Forge software on a Mac Pro and this one does. This information reveals the pros and cons of the software and compares it to the use of the same software but in a PC. This scoop is about a person that has used this software for many years and now he used it in a Mac and notice many differences.
I chose to scoop this information because it is reliable. I say this because it talks about the mac, it has a search bar, it has some more news, include pictures and also a link to a You Tube video of the Sound Forge for the mac. Also it has good and useful information about this product.
