Key points :

  - Bandol: This little gem on France's Cote d'Azur has been discovered by Seabourn, which has ships visiting on several Mediterranean itineraries in 2015. Close to Marseilles but with a much quieter scene, Bandol is a place where cruise passengers will want to lounge on the beach, explore markets and sample the local rosé wine.

  - Aitutaki: Located in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific, this town of just 2,000 residents is on the cruise calendars of lines including Silversea, Hapag-Lloyd andCrystal. The town's calling card is a beautiful lagoon with clear turquoise water and white sand. Located in the lagoon, One Foot Island claims status as the only uninhabited island in the world with a registered post office.

Princess Cruises new 3,560-passenger Regal Princess (http://www.princess.com/news/press_releases/2014/04/Regal-Princess-Completes-Successful-Sea-Trials.html#.U2nq261dX2Q) sets sail this month from Venice, on a seven-day Mediterranean cruise to Athens including stops in Corfu, Mykonos and an overnight call in Istanbul. Throughout the Summer, Regal Princess will sail a series of Mediterranean itineraries before repositioning to Florida for year-round Caribbean sailings. Before all that happens, let's take a look at the unique features 2014's Regal Princess will have on hand for cruise travelers.

The Piazza- Expected to be the center of activity on Regal Princess as it is on sister-ship Royal Princess, the Italian-style Piazza has been expanded to enhance the lively street-café atmosphere that is a favorite of Princess passengers. With more open space for viewing live entertainment in the Piazza from decks 6 and 7, as well as new venues that appear to float mid-air, this new atrium represents a prototype design that builds on the line’s

I think it is great that The Regal Princess has come up with different ways to keep all their guests entertained and comfortable on their ship. In fact, smokers can now enjoy a smoke in designated areas that will not disturb non-smokers or former smokers, and wine lovers can enjoy wine tasting activities. These features will surely attract many prospected guests to enjoy a Princess Cruises experience.

Reading that Carnival Corporation is becoming more environmentally friendly is great! Air-pollution is a growing concern nowadays and steps must be taken in order to protect our environment. This "scrubber" technology Carnival is planning to install on its ships is going to help keep the environment safe, all the while allowing them to offer the cruise experience without governmental restrictions.
