A Dangerous Ruling in the Bode Miller-Sara McKenna Child Custody Battle Takes Fathers' Rights Way Too Far\

A Dangerous Ruling in the Bode Miller-Sara McKenna Child Custody Battle Takes Fathers' Rights Way Too Far\ | Herstory | Scoop.it

I understand that fathers have rights, and I’m all for that. But this ruling took those rights way too far, to the point of dangerousness. It treated a fetus as a child, for purposes of a custody battle. And in doing so, it threatened to limit the rights of a pregnant woman to move and travel.

Not at all to diminish working mothers, either by choice or by necessity, but  what is a stay-at-home mom worth? She's priceless, and I think we ought to live in the world's wealthiest society constructed to acknowledge that and to allow more women to be stay-at-home moms.

Alison D. Gilbert's curator insight, March 22, 2014 4:34 PM

A stay-at-home mom job is not worth much and it is worth less than it was 5 years ago.
