You don't require a major impact to have serious injuries from a car accident. After all, we are made up of flesh, bones and muscles. Cars, on the other hand, are made up of steel and hard plastic. Big difference!

These injuries are very real but there are many hoops to jump through , as in experts to be hired to win these claims for serious personal injury. In Ohio I've actually only taken one of these types of claims to trail. Go here http://www.castellilaw.com/Motor-Vehicle-Accidents.html for Anthony Castelli attorney practice center

So true Anthony! Like you, at www.snyderwileslaw.com, we vigorously go after distracted drivers. Compelling teenagers, who are at risk, to pay more attention to the road than to the song, is an uphill battle sometimes.

an article by RI Personal Injury lawyer David Slepkow 401-437-1100
excerpt:

One thing I like to do as a Rhode Island Personal Injury Attorney is keep everyone up to speed on the latest developments in Rhode Island Personal Injury law. Our law in Rhode Island is constantly evolving and if you don’t stay on top of it, you can’t serve your Auto Accident clients properly. So we try to both read these cases and talk to Negligence lawyers and Injured victims about them on this blog.

A case just came out last week that I think clarifies issues that perplex many of my clients: uninsured / underinsured motorist and the statute of limitations. In this case, the Rhode Island Supreme Court overturned a lower decision and decided to institute a long awaited change – and much welcomed by me and my clients – to the state’s uninsured / underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) policy.

Although the American States Insurance Company tried to persuade the court into preserving a holding that would allow it to potentially weasel out of paying customers (even more than usual), the court decided to adopt a public policy that the majority of jurisdictions have already enacted to protect victims.

Here is what happened: The defendant is a young woman who was injured in an automobile accident on April 25, 2007. At the time of the car crash, she was operating a motor vehicle owned by her employer, who was insured by American State Insurance Company (ASIC).

Official: Dryer not vented in Easton home where 3 died - Allentown Morning Call | Herniated Disk Attorneys | Scoop.it
Official: Dryer not vented in Easton home where 3 died Allentown Morning Call Easton authorities say two code violations — a lack of smoke detectors and an improperly installed clothes dryer — probably contributed to a fire Monday that claimed the...
Gladys Wiles's insight:

This cannot be a more tragic outcome for this family. 3 died as a result of a fire which was caused because the dryer was not vented.

Here are seven tips to consider for optimum safety:

Don’t leave the dryer running while you sleep; if a fire starts, you may not wake up to take corrective action.Never leave your house with the dryer running; if a fire starts you won’t be there to take corrective action.Check the lint filter: Lint build-up is the leading cause of dryer fires. Lint accumulation in the dryer and dryer vent reduces airflow and creates a highly flammable source. Remove lint from the filter before or after each use. Wash the lint filter periodically. Dryer sheets can cause a waxy build-up on lint screens. Use warm soapy water to remove.Check the dryer exhaust vents: Restricted dryer vents cause reduced air flow and high temperatures in the dryer. Look for lint accumulation and any other blockages.Use a sheet-metal exhaust pipe. If a fire starts in a plastic exhaust pipe it can melt quickly, increasing the chances that fire will spread.Don't pile laundry or other items on top of the dryer; the fewer flammable materials near the dryer, the better.Check your smoke alarms regularly to ensure that batteries are powered and the unit works. If you don't have alarms, get them!
