Heath Detweiler concerning decision making and business - YouTube

Warren Buffet has so much wisdom sometimes I wish I could just sit around and study this guy and all he does all day. He is beyond successful, but not just as far as wealth is concerned. Again, the man just has so much wisdom. Heath Detweiler is glad to be able to learn form this man. The thing to remember here is emotional stability and the tenacity to make a decision and stick to it. Heath Detweiler and a little deer

Heath Detweiler and a little deer | Heath Detweiler | Scoop.it

My grandfather started out in the land business many years ago. In the 60s actually. He started working for himself about the same time I was born--in the early 80s with his company Acreage Investments. He had a vision and he slowly worked on making it come to fruition. he had a lot of good fortune and he had a knack for not giving up until it worked. He made it work. I began working for him several years ago. Landman is what he likes to call the business of buying and selling land. Not residential properties, but acreage. He termed it "country acreage" years ago and we have used the term since i remember. Anyhow, this video is one of me when I was out on property. This is in southern Muskingum County, Ohio on Virginia Ridge Road. A beautiful area close to the Muskingum River, that offers serenity from the hustle and bustle of the larger metropolitan area. These are the areas we like to be in. They are so serene. Anyhow, I found this little fawn when I was doing some hiking. When I came back is when I took the video originally. I think it is pretty cool and I hope you all enjoy it too. This is the type of stuff that makes me love what I do so much. I am no nature nut or the like but I do love to be outdoors and enjoying the natural beauty of what God made for us. Have a good day and may we all be blessed.

Heath Detweiler knows that everyday is an opportunity - YouTube

Life is full of lessons, no doubt. Heath Don Detweiler learned many of them the hard way, not unlike many of us I am sure. Some days are harder than others. Some days you get a lot done, and others you feel like you're lucky to even make it home in one piece. Resilience means a lot in this life. It can be the difference between success and failure in business, relationships, and int he way you feel about yourself. While I have had much success, I have also had may failures. In the end though, I do not let my failures set me back. I learn from them. Bump my head, take note, and keep moving forward. Everyday is an opportunity. Don't be afraid to try, to go for what you want, to explore new things. Hope in the taxi, tell them where you are going, and make it happen. I hope everyone had a blessed holiday.

Heath Detweiler with owner financed acreage in Ohio for sale - YouTube

There is no question that real estate values are rising and in many circumstances it is becoming a Seller's market--especially in Ohio. Through out much of Ohio this has been the case recently mainly due to much of the oil and gas excitement that has surfaced. The demand for raw land has grown while the supply of it has been increasingly diminishing.
Even still, I still have lots of inventory through out the state--gorgeous property ideal for building or for recreation. Do not miss out. Most importantly is the fact that we are offering discounts on many of these properties to close the year's accounting on a very high note. Take advantage of the deals and call Heath Detweiler today at 330-606-2465 to discuss properties that are still available and the options for financing available to you. http://youtu.be/f7TMg6oV9P4

2013 Survey of Online Learning Report

Key report findings include:
Over 7.1 million students were taking at least one online course during the fall 2012 term, an increase of 411,000 students over the previous year.

The online enrollment growth rate of 6.1 percent is the lowest recorded for this report series.
Thirty-three percent of higher education students now take at least one course online.

The percent of academic leaders rating the learning outcomes in online education as the same or superior to those in face-to-face grew from 57.2 in 2003 to 77.0 percent last year, but fell back to 74.1 percent this year.

The proportion of chief academic leaders that say online learning is critical to their long-term strategy dropped from 69.1 percent to 65.9 percent.

Ninety percent of academic leaders believe that it is likely or very likely that a majority of all higher education students will be taking at least one online course in five year’s time.

Only 5.0 percent of higher education institutions currently offer a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), another 9.3 percent report MOOCs are in the planning stages.

Less than one-quarter of academic leaders believe that MOOCs represent a sustainable method for offering online courses.

Heath Detweiler with a quick thought - YouTube

The video is not much to watch. Just a visual to help you see the vision. We all know this life can be hard, it can be difficult, mean, and unforgiving. However, those steps can go up and I encourage you to continue to fight to go up them. You may take a few steps back, maybe more than we like to admit, but just keep moving forward. It will be worth it, everyday, to keep moving forward and making that progress Be encouraged is my quick thought to you this Monday night. http://youtu.be/W0tPyEtbK8U

Media and Culture--Perspective and Bias

"Religious scholar Reza Aslan took some serious issue on CNN Monday night with Bill Maher‘s commentary about Islamic violence and oppression. Maher ended his show last Friday by going after liberals for being silent about the violence and oppression that goes on in Muslim nations. Aslan said on CNN that Maher’s arguments are just very unsophisticated.  He said these 'facile arguments' might sound good, but not all Muslim nations are the same. Aslan explained that female mutilation is an African problem, not a Muslim one, and there are Muslim-majority nations where women are treated better and there are even female leaders."

Mark Hathaway's curator insight, October 23, 2015 5:58 AM

The media plays a substantial role in enhancing stereotypes about Muslims. In order to simplify an issue, the media often lumps groups of people together and identifies them as sharing one set of beliefs. In a constant twenty four hour news environment ,nuance is often sacrificed for a quick ratings driven story. The media is often appealing to the lowest common denominator. The media should make a better effort to explain the differences between each Muslim nation. The Middle East is a complex area, and it deserves complex coverage.

Alex Vielman's curator insight, November 23, 2015 3:01 PM

This video is a clear insight on how the Media depicts the people from around the world. Reza Aslan set these tv anchors on CNN in its place after they proclaimed that all Muslim countries are the same, that all Muslims are the same. This information is false and is informing people from around the world about the Middle East region. The problem is not the countries, or the religions, the simple problem is the people who support terrorism from this region and believe in stronger violent attacks to prove that they are strong. ISIS and all the other rebel groups coming from these nations are the problem. One must understand, that there are people who are suffering from these rebel groups in there own homes that want nothing to do with it. Syrians are looking for a way out from the violence and corruption in these states. To say, all Muslims are a problem is a really big misconception to the culture to people watching these videos around the world. It is important that people like Reza Aslan speak up and educate and give the right facts on the media.

Benjamin Jackson's curator insight, December 13, 2015 7:33 PM

yes, some Muslim countries have been lead by women. how many woman governors have there been. Texas is the size of Iraq. scale matters, and if all Muslim countries were merged they would never elect a woman as their leader, if one even ran and survived. the us has at least let them run.
