Welcome to the InnerQuantum way of Life

Welcome to the InnerQuantum way of Life | Healthy Minds | Scoop.it

Welcome to my hopefully, thought provoking little corner.

Healthy Minds is where the InnerQuantum way of thinking came to be. It is an Integrative and Holistic way of looking at life.

Here you will find the research, theories, possible answers to, ideas from some of those mind boggling questions I have had for ever which do not have easy answers.

Here you will find an eclectic way of understanding the BIG questions that InnerQuantum has been based on. Some are better researched than others, always keeping an open mind.

My aim is to spark deep thoughts, curiosity, more questions and an open mind to the unchartered 'mysteries' that come with LIFE. Maybe you too might find the excitement that comes with becoming an iQ explorer of the unexplained. I dare you...

Empathy from doctors can lead to happier, healthier patients

Empathy from doctors can lead to happier, healthier patients | Healthy Minds | Scoop.it

In an article posted earlier this month, it was noted that medical providers in the UK are encouraged to be cognizant of the impact their words can have on their patients. When telling a patient of his newly-diagnosed mesothelioma, for example, the doctors are encouraged to walk in their patient’s shoes to understand the repercussions their words could have. Now, researchers report empathy from physicians can lead to “happier patients with better health outcomes.”

Neuroscience proves stories trump facts -- free download

Neuroscience proves stories trump facts -- free download | Healthy Minds | Scoop.it

"So, if people are more likely to respond to a story, why do salespeople try to persuade customers with facts and figures?"

Hey folks -- if you want a quick and easy-to-digest post (and free download) of the neuroscience of storytelling, then go grab this article and mini e-book.

Author Michael Harris has put all the salient material together for us. It's perfect for trainings and workshops.

There are times when you audience does want facts. Just know that the order goes story first, facts second. That way you'll avoid endless debates, as Michael also points out.

If you want to dig into this topic more deeply, then read Kendall Haven's book Story Proof for all of the specific studies on storytelling and the brain.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
