The Nile provides water for many countries along Africa. So far Egypt owns 75% of the Nile's water supply; however, this fact may change very soon given that it is the last stop before the Nile breaks into the Mediterranean Sea. Many dams have already been built putting more pressure on all countries to find a solution in the midterm.

Scarcity of fresh water has always been an issue; but in some countries or geographical areas, this issue is more important than in others. While some areas the dispute is on how much “share” each one has, in others the issue is not in the share rather in the accessibility to safe and fresh water for survival.
