Surprise! Surprise!  UK Government conspiring with debased businesses.  Well when all current parties are more than happy to openly assert they support business what else can we expect.  It should not be any democratically elected governments’ job to even protect let alone support businesses large or small.  The ultimate result is either businesses are no longer independent or government becomes just an agent of the business sectors with most pull.

G. L. Taylor's insight:

Far too many Landlords interest only go as far as collecting the maximum rent for the least input.  This to me seems the main reason for Housing Benefit situation and the lack of affordable homes.  I am mystified by government and opposition who seem too dumb to face up to this fact and continue to support deregulation, the so called free market and removal of so called red tape.   Such political policies put all reputable business and markets at the mercy of the least reputable elements (basically crooks of the worst kind that take advantage of the most vulnerable).   Do Conservative and business really believe anarchy will solve their problems?  Are they trying to fool us, do they thing we are fools or are they just really foolish!  Anarchy benefits neither rich nor poor and is only an evil road to even more evil.   Those that seek to ignore red tape and destroyed so at their peril.

Car seat detects drivers falling asleep

Car seat detects drivers falling asleep | Health, Safety & Welfare Matters, related to Work | Scoop.it
Intelligent sensors measure use the heart rate to detect if a driver is nodding off at the wheel.
G. L. Taylor's insight:

Would it not be a lot simpler to look into the reasons and pressures that cause drivers to continue when they are tired.  Many employees travel considerable distances between home and work then many have to travel between job during their work shift.  This traveling often does not even comprise of part off their paid hours working time.  On top of this many major UK routs have very little well marked suitable places for a driver to pull over for a safe comfort break where one can attend to one’s personal needs let alone take a nap.  Even if feeling ill whilst on the road there is often little real alternative than to carry on to complete the journey are drop at the wheel as even if you have another driver to relieve you will be lucky to find somewhere safe to pull in and change seats.

Cannot genuine businesses see this stupidity is placing all principled businesses in jeopardy?  Those businesses with the least scruples are the only ones that can gain from such policies.  Efficient high principled businesses will be driven to the wall.  In short the proposals are a con artist and thugs dream.  Business, like politicians, needs to regain public trust and this means being more willing to accept higher moral standards, legal regulations and enforcement.  The lack of regulations and enforcement lead to the disgraceful financial collapse, every one other than fools knows this.   Why are our political parties and businesses vying in the promoting and demanding a more anarchistic society.  Of all parties the Conservatives becoming the party opposed to law and order supporting liberal woolly thinking “Free Market Anarchism” is the most implausible but of course they and their business cohorts don’t really believe it bit.  The freedom and anarchism part is only for the rich and powerful not those they subject to suffer the results of their immorality.  From political parties it is just a charade to gain support from the most ruthless business corpocracies or to incorporate themselves into their corpocracies.
