Sad news.  Although there is a possibility the death is not realted to the diet pills, chances are they were somehow related...

Great post.  From the article:

 

However, I won’t entirely disagree with the concept of meal timing to promote various benefits throughout the entirety of the day; such as:


→ Obviously, a feeling of less hunger – if you’re eating more frequently, you’re less likely to feel hungry throughout the day, therefore more energized and focused on your daily tasks and less agitated


→ Decreases appetite/cravings – particularly important for those adhering to a strict diet – following your meal timing plan will ensure that you are calming those urges to have a quick processed snack


→ Ensuring you have complex carbohydrates an hour or so before your workout will enable you to sustain energy throughout it’s entirety

Scientists have suggested that, with a little willpower, it takes roughly 30 days for a person to form a new habit.  As with mastering anything new, the act of starting and getting beyond the preliminary stage where everything feels awkward is 80% of the battle.  This is precisely why it’s important to make small, positive changes every day over the course of at least a 30 day period.

My business partner has lost over 55 pounds with vegetable foods and I will be watching the film today.  Very interesting resource. 

 

From the article:

 

I just had blood work done and my fasting glucose was 90, my triglycerides were 118 and my cholesterol was 134.

I was so happy I thought I was going to cry.

 

My doctor seemed to be at a loss for words. She just couldn’t believe there wasn’t one bad marker, although she thought I might be losing weight too quickly.

 

I explained to her I don’t count calories or limit how much I eat. She promptly told me she did not need to see me anymore unless I was sick or to come in for a yearly checkup.

My Thoughs,

I don't know what grinds my gears more; the fact that restaurant chains are TRYING to go "healthy" or that people are actually going to believe its healthy. Many people don't understand just because an item is under the 'healthy' section it's really not going to be healthy. Like the article mentioned, the customer will always gravitate towards flavor instead of eating better. if a person wants to eat healty they won't be going to a fast food restaurant in the first place.

Fast food companies are adding healthy foods to their menus, not so that people will buy the healthy meals, but so that the restaurant as a whole has a healthier reputation, therefore pleasing the customers.

There are so many benefits that come from drinking more water, from bodybuidling to staying fit and having a healthy lifestyle.  Of course, we need to stay away from soda!  

 

Here are a couple of snippets from this informational article found at Helen's Little Health Corner:

 

By replacing the majority of your soda and juice drinks with water, you will naturally lose weight even if you don’t change your exercise patterns. Unfortunately, changing your soda drinks to the light or diet version may not help you lose weight because while you are not taking in the excess sugar, the sweeteners used in these drinks often help you maintain water in your body, but in the wrong places.

 

The majority of sodas are even worse for you. Many of them contain twice as much sugar as the juice drinks, meaning that you are probably going to gain weight if you drink fruit juices and sugar filled soda drinks, rather than drinking water when you are thirsty. If you drink sugar-based drinks every day of the week, then you’re going to be carrying an excessive of weight that is difficult to lose.
