Health Blog Round-up
This Scoop-it page has been created to serve as a round-up of health-related blogs. Health has a very active blogging community; there are a huge amount of blogs regularly published on the topic and there is currently no easy way of finding a way through them all. This page is intended to provide a dynamic and easy to use resource for anyone looking for information, or wanting to comment on, any health-related matters. It is a personal project of mine, and is supported by @drmarknewbold, who points me to blogs that I may have missed!

Compassionate leadership in health and social care

Compassionate leadership in health and social care | Health Blog Round-up | Scoop.it
With the launch of our new leadership development programme, Sarah Massie considers the challenges faced by health care leaders and the importance of maintaining compassion in a high-pressure environment. If you were to ask any member of the public what they want from health and social care, it’s likely that compassion from the staff who provide care would be high on their wish list. But in order to establish compassionate cultures that manifest on the front line, we need to begin with compassionate leadership.

HIV is back on the front pages | Health Blog Round-up | Scoop.it
Following this week's landmark court ruling on the funding of HIV prevention drug PrEP, Alex Baylis considers the complex system of fragmented responsibilities for HIV services. The 21st International AIDS Society Conference in July reminded us that HIV is still one of the top public health priorities for developed and developing countries alike. In England, estimates suggest that more than 100,000 people are living with HIV.
