According to health experts, not all plant-based diets are created equal | Health and Wellness Center - Elevate Christian Network | Scoop.it

Cee Harmon's insight:

The study, of over 200,000 U.S. health professionals, found those who ate plenty of healthy plant foods -- such as vegetables, beans and whole grains -- did have a lower risk of heart disease.

While many people find that tracking steps with these devices motivates them to be active, you don't need to do so to stay fit. If you’re not into counting steps, just try to move as much as you can, for a total of at least 30 minutes on most days.

You’re scared of putting on weight, you’re disgusted with your actions, but the absolute worst part is how out of control you feel. It’s like you can’t trust yourself anymore.  You’ve tried everything to stop binge eating, but nothing seems to work.

Cee Harmon's insight:

Taking care of yourself is important. No one ever binged when they were feeling at ease and at peace. Dedicating time just for yourself is going to be crucial to stop binge eating for good.

If you define yourself as unfit, out of control, or having no willpower, then you’re setting yourself up for failure. So rather than labeling yourself as “a binge eater,” rather than telling yourself “I’m out of control,” realize that there is nothing wrong with you.
