What Do You Want Kids to Do with Technology?

What Do You Want Kids to Do with Technology? | Health and PE Stuff | Scoop.it

Wrong Answers: make Prezis, start blogs, create Wordles, publish Animotos, design flipcharts, produce videos, post to Edmodo, use whiteboard, develop apps

Right Answers: raise awareness, start conversations, find answers (to THEIR questions), join partners, change minds, make a difference, take action, drive change

Technology is a TOOL, NOT an outcome

On incorporating technology in the classroom

Hannah Roukas's curator insight, October 22, 2013 4:55 AM

This post was short but to the point.  Technology should be one of the subjects kids learn in school, it should be used to help kids develop ideas.  Teachers should use technology to keep lessons interesting so kids don't fall asleep or become uninteresting.

The CrossFit Journal is an advertising-free digital publication dedicated to functional fitness. Hundreds of articles document the tenets of the CrossFit concept and provide insights from contributing coaches, trainers, athletes, ...
Randi Jones's insight:

Interesting, Crossfit tends to get a bad rap but there are just as many positive things about it. I'm a firm believer in variety and that what works for you may not work for me. Crossfit is one of those things that works for some and not others. There's no denying that those that it works for love it and experience result and it's a form of fitness that can be done by pretty much everyone.

"After feeling inspired by reading seemingly everybody else's incredible transformation story, you decided it was your time. You spent days scouting out the perfect workout program, made a list of everything you couldn't eat (and what a list it was!), told everyone your plans, and then wiled away night after night tweaking the details on your fitness app." http://bbcom.me/1dGda9j
