Also, exercise has been proven to have a wide range of health benefits. Children, by nature, want to indulge in physical activity. Not only are there many health benefits of exercise, but, when children exercise regularly, they often grow up to become adult exercisers, and, studies have shown that many of the health benefits of exercise received as a child, continue on into adulthood...even if the person stops exercising as an adult.

Yes, there is a chance of skin cancer, but this study advocates moderate exposure. Light has been shown to have so many beneficial effects. I heard of one study several years ago in which exposure to sunlight helped relieve the pains of arthritis.
