We are seeking Researcher in Biomedical Informatics to undertake research in informatics applied to the domain of biomedicine. The incumbent will contribute to all aspects of research and development related to the project “BiomarkerCard: a knowledge-based system to facilitate the clinical use of biomarkers for complex diseases”.
The position will report to the team leader of Biomedical Informatics at NICTA, Dr. Karin Verspoor, and will be jointly supervised by the Chair of Health Informatics at the University of Melbourne, Prof. Fernando Martin Sanchez.
The position will be based in the Health and Biomedical Informatics Research Unit, Melbourne Medical School, in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences but the successful candidate will also be integrated into the Biomedical Informatics research team at NICTA.
This team addresses biomedical data analysis through data integration, with a specific focus on taking advantage of the information in textual resources with text mining.
