New York City’s schools chancellor said in December that she would limit state exams’ role in measuring student progress, but test prep, and the anxiety it causes, is as robust as ever.

A warning for us in Australia if we allow NAPLAN got get out of control. "We’re going to do all we can to roll that back to focus on the best quality teaching as opposed to test prep.” New York City’s schools chancellor, Carmen Fariña.
