To think they used to say that one couldn’t do real work or create content on the iPad… Enter Weebly for iPad, a native application by the popular web-hosting service which allows users to create websites in minutes by dragging and dropping various elements in its web interface.

Although it’s been available on iOS since May 2012, Weebly was iPhone-only until todays update which has brought out native iPad interface with full editing capabilities, unlike the iPhone and iPod touch version.

10 Free Education Apps for iPad - Getting Smart

10 Free Education Apps for iPad - Getting Smart | Have iPad will Teach | Scoop.it
"One of the most popular categories of apps on any touch enabled mobile devices is obviously educational apps thanks to the real time, ready-in-hand help students get from them in and outside of their classroom. While there are millions of free educational apps, all of them are not worthy enough for downloading. Secondly, most of the top tier feature rich apps are either not free or offer a much downgraded ‘free’ version that offer a user experience far removed from what they provide in ‘paid’ version. So, finding a handful of free and useful education apps on diverse contents requires some amount of research and that is exactly what we help you to do here. Here below we are introducing 10 free education apps for iPad."

An Effective Visual Vocabulary iPad Lesson, done in Minutes - Teaching with iPad

An Effective Visual Vocabulary iPad Lesson, done in Minutes - Teaching with iPad | Have iPad will Teach | Scoop.it
“ Here is a quick tool that I use with my iPad this week that was very effective for my younger grades. We know that most kids learn better visually. With my vocabulary many lists within my curriculum, I was able to quickly search for images using Google images. I quickly went through each list, and found anything that I thought could have an image. Using Google search, all I did was type the words: “clipart” plus whatever image I was looking for (e.g. “clipart car”, “clipart pizza”). I went down the list and quickly came out with a gallery of probably 30 vocabulary words within ten minutes.”

60 iPad Productivity Apps For Modern Teachers

60 iPad Productivity Apps For Modern Teachers | Have iPad will Teach | Scoop.it
But technology may be able to help. This list, for example. We’ve offered ideas in the past to helpteachers save time, but those can only do so much. As can these apps, but every little bit helps, yes? Your workload, grade level, school climate, personal organizational habits–even beliefs about what a teacher is supposed to be and do all matter more than an app, but if you’re mobile and connected, you at least have a chance. From RSS readers to social readers to to-do lists to calendar apps to note-taking and cloud-based document editing and more, this list has to have something that can improve the efficiency of what you do. Assuming you have an iPad.
