Many educators are beginning to become aware of the growing teaching method referred to as “Flipping The Classroom”. Simply put… the teacher provides videos for homework, while traditional home work is done in class under teacher supervision. Unfortunately this might be just too simplistic of a definition. Possible this is why using the words “simply put” may not be the best practice in explaining anything.

Sure it's an extensive page - the research section could be better with reference to papers dated back to 1998 and 2001. The section "Resources To Better Understand Flipping the Classroom" is good including info graphics and a good link to J. Gersteins http://usergeneratededucation.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/the-flipped-classroom-model-a-full-picture/

This site provides the tools for you to build up an argument or description of an event, person or historical period by placing items in a virtual box. What items, for example, would you put in a box to describe your life; the life of a Victorian Servant or Roman soldier; or to show that slavery was wrong and unnecessary?

 

You can display anything from a text file to a movie. You can also view and comment on the museum boxes submitted by others.
