94% of human resources people might say they prefer positive feedback, but that does not explain when they escort an employee of site. I find it useful to ask for examples. I once had a School manager suggest I was being unprofessional, but, when I asked for an example, he had none.

 

Feedback and criticism are necessary for growth. The relationship we have with employees and students is important in providing feedback and criticism. I eliminated giving marks on many activities and used rubrics as a way to guide learning. These were well explained to the students and became useful in student learning.

Criticism is always a difficult pro-active action that educators have to give. Criticism without ridicule and shame is what students need to hear and an explanation of how to make the changes to be better learners and communicators.

Happiness and Productivity - Une nouvelle étude scientifique confirme le lien entre bonheur et productivité - [PDF]

Some firms say they care about the well-being and ‘happiness’ of their employees. But are such claims hype, or scientific good sense? This study provides the first evidence, for a classic piece-rate setting, that happiness makes people more productive. In three different styles of experiment, randomly selected individuals are made happier. The treated individuals have 10-12% greater productivity. A final experiment examines major real-world shocks (bereavement and family illness). Lower happiness is associated with lower productivity. These complementary forms of evidence, with different strengths and weaknesses, are consistent with the claim that there is a causal link between well-being and human performance.

AUNQUE PAREZCA QUE NO PASA NADA... La meditación y la atención plena silenciosamente cambian la estructura del cerebro. Con sólo ocho semanas de práctica, se ven cambios en la densidad de la materia gris en el hipocampo, un área importante para el aprendizaje y la memoria, así como en las estructuras cerebrales relacionadas con el autoconocimiento.
