Flipped Classroom

Flipped Classroom | Hall County Ed Tech | Scoop.it

What is the flipped classroom?

A reversed teaching model that delivers instruction at home through interactive, teacher-created videos and moves “homework” to the classroom. Moving lectures outside of the classroom allows teachers to spend more 1:1 time with each student. Students have the opportunity to ask questions and work through problems with the guidance of their teachers and the support of their peers - creating a collaborative learning environment.

HelloSlide - Bring your slides to life

HelloSlide - Bring your slides to life | Hall County Ed Tech | Scoop.it

a tool that you can use to add voice narration to slides that you display online. instead of recording your voice you type what you want the narrator to say. Where you might type "speakers notes" in other slide programs, in Hello Slide you type out the narration. Hello Slide creates the audio and narrates your slides for you. While the voice is slightly robotic, it is much much better than most text to speech services.

YouTube Offers All Schools Education-Only Link, Beefs Up K-12 Content | MindShift

YouTube Offers All Schools Education-Only Link, Beefs Up K-12 Content | MindShift | Hall County Ed Tech | Scoop.it

All schools can now use the YouTube educational video site, youtube.com/education, without having to jump over Internet filtering hurdles.

For schools that choose to opt in to the YouTube for Schools Program, YouTube will redirect Web users who go to the site straight over to youtube.com/education. On this portion of the site, all comments are disabled and the only related videos are those that can be found in the Education portal of the site.

The option has been created for parents, teachers, and administrators who fear children will be exposed to inappropriate materials on the site.
