Love this picture. So true, the growth mindset is an amazing one to have.

Rocio Watkins's curator insight, December 3, 2014 1:59 AM

Growth mindset has changed the way I teach, the way I parent my three boys, and the way I face challenging situations and risks.  It has given me the resilience I need while in graduate school.  Dr. Carol Dweck's book, Growth Mindset, is a paradigm-changing book.  I highly recommend it.  Thanks for sharing this great visual representation of Growth vs. Fixed Mindsets.

Cost cutting is a race to the bottom.  Unless companies learn how to build high performing cultures, with a focus on both the talent and company flourishing, top line growth will remain elusive.

Andrew Spence's curator insight, June 8, 2014 5:00 AM

The consultants identified eight factors that seem crucial for success. Not every factor showed up in every successful transformation, but most were usually present: (4 that resonated with my experience)

#1. Turning the page

#2. Creating a new vision

#4. Staying committed

#6. Adapting approaches

Growth Planning

Growth Planning | Growth & Leadership | Scoop.it

Business growth rarely happens by accident. Usually, business growth is the result of the business owner paying specific attention to a number of key elements of business activity.

In addition to paying attention in the right areas, a business owner also needs to have growth in their business, not simply wanting to have growth for the sake of additional revenue, more prestige or more influence.

This excellent article explains the difference between wanting growth and needing to see growth in your business and it provides sound tips for how to achieve the growth you need to see.
