Are there essential differences between the male and female brain? My theory is that the female brain is predominantly hard-wired for empathy, and that the male brain is predominantly hard-wired for understanding and building systems.

Alas, what Grow Boys has been saying all along... gender atypical kids (male or female) may have a rough ride if we don't recognize and respond with care. Focusing on their strengths; glaring at them, while only glancing at their (so called) weaknesses is the key. Kids are who they are whether predominantly "male-brained" or "female-brained."
