Our GP tutor showed us this website today. Create a free account and it lets you analyse patient histories and ECG's and try to come up with a diagnosis. Really helpful just to get your eye in for abnormal signs on an ECG :)

Seeing as we're doing abdominal innervation as part of the anatomy of the abdomen, it's worthwhile learning the lumbar plexus now rather than later. This video is pretty straight-forward, and features a good way of remembering the spinal level for each nerve.

Agree with Lisa that comment from public/patients on various forms of contraception is very useful here. In general very good info as usual from the NHS Choices site.

Good animation of the inflammatory response. The website also has further information on the inflammatory and healing process with good, relevant  histology slides too.

Anne Marie Cunningham's curator insight, January 20, 2014 7:23 PM

The animation looks just at what happens to neutrophils in inflammation. Good compliment to the other animation from McGraw-Hill. There is a wealth of material on this site so worth checking out.

This is a tool for writing to do lists and notes etc, you can make little revision cards as well. But you can share notes on it? Thought this could be a useful tool if we wanted to share notes so we knew where we all were and to see if we are all on the same path. Let me know what you think :)?

Some pretty interesting x-rays and MRIs of knees, with a helpful "reveal findings" function too; it lets you know exactly what you should have seen, so is useful when comparing normal to pathological.

Shaffi B*'s curator insight, January 14, 2014 7:59 PM

The "reveal findings" feature is amazingly useful- it lets you know what you should have seen, which is great when going back and comparing the images to a normal specimen.
