According to the article Doctors: Merits in aid in dying, April 14, Dr. David Grube and Dr. David Pratt made the outrageous claim that [g]iving a dying patient a drug to end his life can be a form of palliative care. Let us be perfectly clear — prescribing lethal medication with the intent of ending a patient's life is not the way that palliative care is defined or practiced in New York.
