Earthworm: Who are We?

Earthworm: Who are We? | Greening your home | Scoop.it

That caustic cleaning collection under my sink really bothered me. I worried that those harsh chemicals were dangerous to the environment and more importantly, dangerous to the ones I love. It became my motivation to create Earthworm.

Earthworm Family-Safe Products use natural, enzyme-based formulas to break down organic materials. All living things contain enzymes. Enzymes are just proteins. We've harnessed these enzymes to aggressively attack food, grease, fats and almost any other organic material. And when they're done working, only harmless nutrients and water are left behind. No chemical residues.

Marc Kneepkens's curator insight, December 12, 2013 8:55 AM

Good to see 'green' initiatives replacing some of our deeply engrained habits of simply picking up cleaning products that seem to be unavoidable. There are good alternatives! They even work better in many cases. And they don't leave a chemical 'trail', infesting our waters and health.
