“ Savvy investors are finding a much less glamorous, but more abundant alternative energy to solar is buried under mounds of trash.”Last year, trash hauler Waste Management generated 9.82 million megawatt hours of energy from accumulated methane gas from its landfills. That is more than the 9.25 million megawatt hours of energy generated by the entire U.S. solar industry last year, says the Energy Information Administration as reported by Investor’s Business Daily.
