Electronic waste is damaging for the environment and requires caution from both individuals and companies. Staples is one of the companies taking a role in the end of life products, with highest standard of safe disposal and recycling in the most responsible way. According to BAN, about 70 percent of the world's e-waste is exported to the developing world, where they are illegally dumped. BAN developed the e-Stewards certification as a market-based solution.

Electronic waste is among the most graphic examples of how the environment pays when businesses and consumers don’t.

Photos of computer parts strewn across natural landscapes and workers standing amongst mounds of lead-laden parts are troubling reminders of the dark side of our love affair with electronic gadgetry and how little responsibility manufacturers and retailers have in dealing with their proper disposal.

Outlined three basic rules; Do not let junk mail enter your house, get a scanner so you do not have paper taking up space and get a shredder to get rid of the paper as well as protecting your personal information etg when filing for credit card.

Much of the estimated 50 million tons of discarded electronic waste from around the world ends up at poorly regulated dumping sites in low-income nations. The world's biggest e-waste dump is Agbogbloshie in Accra, Ghana.

About the amount of e-waste dumped in the poorly regulated dumping sites in low-income nations. The biggest one is in Accra, Ghane. The people get exposed to a variety of chemicals, heavy metals and other health risks such as hearing loss and nutrition. Purpose of the study was to improve exposure reduction intervention.

It is a slow process towards the paperless office goal. The debate subject evolves around legal documents such as contracts. Some use paper version when signing, while others think that it is better to do the signing of papers electronically.
