The IFLA – MLA Section and the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists are inviting you in a half – day Conference:«Changing societies – changing roles of libraries»
Dear colleagues, Dear IFLA members, Dear Friends 
It is our pleasure to welcome you all in Athens, for the IFLA MLAS midterm meeting. 
This year, together with the meeting IFLA MLAS, we decided to organize a conference, emphasizing what is happening today in the world. Societies are changing; technology is moving forward; structures are not anymore what they used to be. Libraries have been here through centuries in a perpetual transforming way. What is the new social and technological environment? How do libraries adjust in it? What is their role in contemporary societies? 
This conference will not answer these questions, rather than set them. 
We welcome you in “Changing Societies – Changing role of Libraries” IFLA MLAS midterm meeting in Athens.
