The results of scientific research to decode the Phaistos Disc -the Enigma of Minoan Crete- are now available online at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Crete website.

The researchers’ team -coordinated by Dr. Gareth Alun Owens, of the TEI of Crete, and John Coleman, Professor of Phonetics at Oxford University- has confirmed that the Phaistos Disc is indeed a religious text written in the Minoan Language

The Phaistos Disc -on display at the Archaeological Museum of Herakleion- is a circular pictographic script, unique in its kind, discovered in 1908 in the northern wing of the Minoan Palace of Phaistos, on the island of Crete.
