Oinousses Greece | Oinousses Island | Greeceview

Oinousses island (Οινούσες greek), is a small Greece island of an 17.427 km2 area cluster located in North Aegean, between Chios and the coasts of Asia Minor. The cluster also includes the islets of Panagia, Vatos, Gaidouronisi, Pontikonisi, Prasonisia, Pateroniso, Archontoniso. The principal town of the islands and seat of the municipality is also called Oinousses. Oinousses has a small resident population, living primarily in the islands' town of Oinousses with population of about 800, and a recently built monastery. The town is centred around a square and a small port; it includes a school, several churches, a Naval high school and a maritime museum. The only other populated settlements are Kastron and Aspalathrokampos.

Lesbos (or Lesvos Λέσβος ) is a Greeκ island located in the northeastern Aegean Sea. It has an area of 1,632 square kilometres with 320 kilometres of coastline, making it the third largest Greek island. It is separated from Turkey by the narrow Mytiline Strait. Its population is approximately 86,000, a third of which lives in its capital, Mytilene, in the southeastern part of the island. The remaining population is distributed in small towns and villages. The largest are Plomari, Kalloni, the Gera Villages, Agiassos, Eresos, and Molyvos .The island's many hot springs – almost a fourth of the countries hot springs are found here – the wetlands with the thousands of native and migratory birds and amphibians, the unique monument of the Petrified Forest, the well-known throughout the country monasteries (such as St. Raphael and Taxiarchi in Mandamados ) and pilgrimage sites, the religious events and finally its great natural beauyty are the main reasons to visit Lesbos.

Near the northern coast of Greece , just 6 miles away, sits the verdant island of Greece Thassos (or Thasos Θάσος ) . Its total area is 379 km2 and the popoulation is about 14000. Thassos island is of generally rounded shape, without deep bays or significant peninsulas. The terrain is mountainous but not particularly rugged, rising gradually from coast to centre. The highest peak is Ypsario at 1,205 metres , somewhat east of centre. Pine forest covers much of the island's eastern slopes. Great beaches, medium to low budget cost, good food, very good for family and easy access are the main reasons to visit Thassos. On the other side, if you are looking for crazy nightlife or graphical bluewhite islands you must give it a second look.

Icaria, also spelled Ikaria (Ικαρία greek), locally Nikaria or Nicaria (Νικαριά) is a Greek island 10 nautical miles (19 km) south-west of Samos. It derived its name from Ikarus, the son of Daedalus in Greek mythology, who fell into the sea nearby. It is one of the middle islands of the northern Aegean, 660 km² (255 mi²) in area with 102 miles (160 km) in coastline and a population of about 7,000 inhabitants. Agios Efstratios Greece Island

A few words about Agios Efstratios Beaches Agios Efstratios ( 'Αγιος Ευστράτιος ) is a small volcanomade Greek island in the centre of north east aegean, between Lemnos and Lesbos. The island was named after Saint Eustratius who lived on the island in the 9th century as an exile. His grave is still being shown by the inhabitants. Agios Efstratios is quiet, isolated and dry, with a population of approximately 300 people. The climate is arid, with little rainfall during the winter months and long, hot summers.
