We Wait Too Long to Train Our Leaders

We Wait Too Long to Train Our Leaders | Graphic Coaching | Scoop.it
The average supervisor has been managing for 10 years before he gets any training.

(From the Article): For as long as I can recall, there have been those who have observed, "With all the money and effort being spent on leadership development programs, why don't we have better leaders?" The answer to that question is obviously complex, but could a part of the answer be that we have simply waited too long to develop these skills? It may be possible to teach old dogs new tricks, but there's no question that the sooner you begin, the easier it is.

It's all about relationships. May be a useful approach for mitigating cultural problems that lead to extreme acts. It's never too early to teach responsibility. Thanks for scooping!

The Ultimate Guide To Infographics

The Ultimate Guide To Infographics | Graphic Coaching | Scoop.it

Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. These graphics present complex information quickly and clearly, such as in signs, maps, journalism, technical writing, and education. With an information graphic, computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians develop and communicate concepts using a single symbol to process information.

View three examples of visualizations defining what infographics are, and gain a better understanding of the value of an infographic in education with a video that demonstrates how their potential when used effectively in an educational setting.

Visit the article link for the video, 'The Value of Visualization', as well as more details on the science behind infographics and it's potential  for educational applications.

This can also be mapped across onto visual coaching.

Best 15 Free Video Conferencing Tools 2012. Ideal If you want to do virtual visual coaching

Best 15 Free Video Conferencing Tools 2012. Ideal If you want to do virtual visual coaching | Graphic Coaching | Scoop.it

Robin Good: If you are looking for a free video conferencing solution, here is my selection of the top 15 (and more) solutions available right now online.

I have personally checked each one of them, and while you may not like each one, they all guarantee the ability to video conference with more than two people (FlashMeeting is the only exception I have included) without you needing to pay anything for it.

Some, as good as Vidyo or Zoom.us may provide HD quality video and even full support for mobile platforms. Others, like MeBeam or Sinfor offer bare-bone ad-supported solutions that have zero frills but can do the job if you need an immediate, zero-cost solution.

Check it out here: http://pinterest.com/robingood/top-15-free-video-conferencing-tools-2012/

P.S.: Feel free to suggest tools you know that should belong in this collection.
