The Five Minute Coach

The Five Minute Coach | Graphic Coaching | Scoop.it

Refine the verbal component of your  visual coaching skills using the Clean Language approach.  Very useful for eliciting client's metaphors.

This article gives a good overview of how it works.

Lynne Cooper's book is a great resource and I highly recommend having a look at it.

Mental clarity - 3 Levels of Focus | Workvisual Institute

Mental clarity - 3 Levels of Focus | Workvisual Institute | Graphic Coaching | Scoop.it
Everybody is going crazy these times. Stressed out and 0% productive. It has shown to me that mental clarity and especially mental health are crucial success factors to perform the work we as visual facilitators do everyday. But this is not only about us. It's literally every knowledge worker out there. Why do I say "knowledge worker"? It's because we often work on things, that don't show up at the end of the day – lucky you if you've drawn something! Because without tasks to complete which require action to move, lift, turn or bend it is very difficult to keep your mind calm and not busy in the course of a day, right?

Why you should define your fears instead of your goals

Why you should define your fears instead of your goals | Graphic Coaching | Scoop.it
The hard choices -- what we most fear doing, asking, saying -- are very often exactly what we need to do. How can we overcome self-paralysis and take action? Tim Ferriss encourages us to fully envision and write down our fears in detail, in a simple but powerful exercise he calls "fear-setting." Learn more about how this practice can help you thrive in high-stress environments and separate what you can control from what you cannot.
Dave Wood's insight:
Refreshing to see someone highlight the importance of '"fear facing" as a counterpoint to goal setting.
