2014 Equipment Survey Report: More Wineries Plan to Purchase ...

Results from the 2014 Wine Business Monthly Equipment Survey Report indicate that winery confidence continues to strengthen. We will also review how more wineries are finally embracing technology, like cross-flow filtration and steam sterilization. First, however, we will start by looking at predictions from manufacturers and the banking community.

The Filtering Controversy

Aside from when to pick their grapes, perhaps the single most difficult question faced by some winemakers is whether or not they should filter their wine. Filtration is a murky subject. Opinions differ, with solid reasoning for each. Flotation Can Expedite Juice Clarification, Improve Quality
