Man Born Without Hands Is Engineer for NASCAR's Most Winning Organization

Man Born Without Hands Is Engineer for NASCAR's Most Winning Organization | Grade Nine Religion | Scoop.it
Richie Parker, 30, grew up with a chorus of doubters telling him what he couldn't do without hands - ride a bike, drive a car or find a good job.
Evan H's insight:

Richie Parker is a person who grew up his entire life with no arms. In 1885 he was  born with a non-genetic birth defect called bilateral amelia, which left him without arms. He had alot of people telling him what he couldn't do with hands, but not his parents. His parent made sure to make his life as normal as possible. With Richie's parent's efforts,  they designed a way for him to independently ride a bicycle which gave him a sense of independence. this led to him focusing on cars when he grew up. His first car, which he still as today, was silghty modified to let hime drive it. his love for cars led him to apply for an internship at Hendrick Motorsports. which is one of the most successful racing companies. when he first got there they had know idea what they he was going to do. 5 championships and eight years later, he is a vehicle engineer designing chassis and body components for all four of the organization's race teams.

wow this video was so insperational . I cant belive after getting shot 3 times that he lived . I think God was watching over him that day pushing him to get up and start walking . Its a perfect example that you never know what could happen. It is a true miracle that he is alive. And through all his pain and suffering, he has a positive outlook on life . He truly is blessed
