Soon after starting his march he was shot by sniper. It makes me so proud to see my Daughter, Dareann in this picture with Dr. Meredith. As I mentioned to Samantha, at the time she was so sick and could not hear. Dr. Meredith was so kind and spent a great deal of time with her. If not for leaders like him, Dareann would not have the opportunities she has today.
