Brisbane Times Brought to book: school forced to admit Christian studies not mandatory Brisbane Times ... Act which requires public schools to have a neutral position on religion.
Arrie Van Der Merwe's insight:
I am completely against the idea. I believe there is a strong link between taking biblical education out of schools and the collapse in moral values. Traditionally, the bible has strong core values that guide us as society to live a life that is honourable. The people that are against the idea will argue that they can be morally good as-well but to say this is like saying that if you have sat on a rocket that you have been on the moon. If you do not live according to the will of God then you are running the risk of being morally corrupt. We are humans and we fall short of the glory of God. Lastly, never in the history has jails around the world been so full of juvenile prisoners. I am old enough to see how the young of today are all about them selves. there is also a gap when it comes to good old fasion manners.
