I think this is a good idea to keep drunk drivers off the road. I think that people who have been drinking should not be allowed to drive, and this will help lower the amount of those drivers. It will help keep those who have been drinking off the road and having safer roads.
Same-sex couples who've been together for years will soon have the option of getting married if the Minnesota Senate, as expected, passes legislation today legalizing same-sex marriage and recognizing out-of-state marriages.
I am very excited that Minnesota will (hopefully) pass gay marriage. I think they have the right to have the same benifits as other married couples, why shouldn't they? I can see if they move to a state that has not passed the law for gay marriage they may not have the benifits, but if they are living in a state that allows gay marriage then they should be able to get benifits.
U.S. News University The online learning revolution Atlanta Journal Constitution Alan Wells, manager of DeVry University-Atlanta's Academic Success Center, helps student Donna L. Stewart, a computer information systems major.
I think online learning is great for people! You are able to work and go to school at the same time, and if you are a slower learner, or the classroom is not for you, you are able to go at your own pace. The only thing about online learning is that you have to motivate yourself to work and get your things done.
I was actually shocked to find out that over half of the US Military is overweright! I imagine them working out all the time and getting fit. I think that if the military can't be average weight, that is a problem for the United States and that everyone needs to get into a better shape. I am not saying that people have to be skinny, but they should be healthy.
I think that it is great that Minnesota is pushing to allow gay marriage. I just do not understand all the fuse with it, why does it matter who someone loves? I do think that they should call it a marriage still instead of a civil union. Why can't people be married to who they love rather than call it a civil union?
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) -- A Bonita Springs man, Steven Trew, frustrated that the Everglades Wonder Gardens will soon close, broke into the zoo sometime early Monday morning, cut the locks on almost every cage and set many animals free, according to employees at the gardens.
One deer was killed on Imperial Parkway, one deer is missing, but the rest of the creatures never left the zoo property and were returned to their cages by zoo staff.
Employee Jack Wollman arrived at the Everglades Wonder Gardens at 5 a.m. Monday and found the back gate sawed open. When he got inside he noticed deer, pigs and birds were out of their cages.
Wollman held the suspect, 58-year-old Steven Trew, until deputies from the Lee County Sheriff's office arrived. Trew has been arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office and charged with burglary of a dwelling and damage to property with criminal mischief...

Column: Wolves belong to the people and should not be hunted
Wolves “belong” to the public. Most of the public, whatever color, do not want them hunted — again. I feel that the position of the tribes and tribal people, as well as 370 or so members of the North Wolf Alliance has been ignored by the leadership of St. Louis County.
If Tumblr is more of a social network than a blogging platform, then Babblr may be just the thing that its users are clamoring for: It's an integrated chat client for the platform that lets you communicate with your Tumblr friends and followers...
... After authenticating with Tumblr, the Babblr interface shows you a list of followers and those you’re following, and lets you initiate instant messaging-like chats with others on Babblr. You can also organize your followers into groups, which is useful for those with larger communities, or who just want to have more directed conversations. The messaging app is designed to be family-friendly, too, as it censors curse words by turning them into silly or nonsense phrases like “fudge this” or “schmeggs.” (The F word and S word, respectively.)
The Babblr team has been working on the client for about six months, and as of two months ago, they allowed people to discover it on their own through search and other posted links, in order to try it out....
msnNOW Jury finds abortion doc guilty of murder, lawyer claims racism msnNOW The lawyer for the Philadelphia abortion doctor found guilty Monday of murdering three infants says his client is the victim of racism.
I think this is crazy for him to do abortions this way, and I agree that he should be guilty of murder. He may have thought he was helping the ladies, but this is beyond help, it is murder. If the ladies were tis far along he could have helped them by getting them help after the child was born. I think that he should be guilty of murder for these children.
This exceptional Black man made it to the Supreme Court through hard work ..No affirmative action needed. He met the criteria on his own with hard work. No one lowered the bar for him..
It does not matter the color of your skin, if you work hard it usually pays off. Just because Obama didn't grow up with as much racism as others does not mean he did not work just as hard to become President. The article talks about how he is for everyone, not just African Americans, shouldn't a president supoprt all? I think this man just wanted to start drama. He is not the only one who worked hard to earn where he is right now.
John McWhorter: 'LOL' no longer 'means' anything. Rather, it 'does something' -- conveying an attitude -- just as the ending '-ed' doesn't 'mean' anything but conveys past tense. LOL is, of all things, grammar.
LOL was never funny. I agree that texting has lowered American's grammer and writting skills in the past ten years. I personally do not like acronyms in texting, I think it is lazy, I especially dislike LOL. I do think texting is postive for the most part in communicating quicker, but peoples face to face social skills have decreased dramaticly, it is crazy how unsocial some people are now a days, especially the younger teenagers and newer generation.
The Texas Republican Joe Barton stands out even among his fellow conservative Republicans who have made it an article of faith to deny the existence of a human component to climate change.
On Wednesday, Barton cemented that reputation by citing the Old Testament to refute scientific evidence of man-made global warming, drawing on the story of Noah's ark.
"I would point out that if you are a believer in the Bible, one would have to say the great flood was an example of climate change," Barton told a congressional hearing on Wednesday in a video first shown on the Buzzfeed website. "That certainly wasn't because mankind had overdeveloped hydrocarbon energy."
Barton was speaking at a house subcommittee hearing called by the Republican leadership to promote a bill that would allow Congress to fast-track a controversial pipeline that would pump crude from the tar sands of Alberta to refineries on the Texas coast.
The Texas congressman began by reiterating his support for the Keystone XL pipeline. He went on to say that he did not dispute the existence of climate change – just any connection to human activity, such as the greenhouse gas emissions produced by the burning of fossil fuels.
"I would point out that people like me who support hydrocarbon development don't deny that climate is changing," he said. "I think you can have an honest difference of opinion of what's causing that change without automatically being either all in, that's all because of mankind, or it's all just natural. I think there's a divergence of evidence."
I do not think that congress should be allowed to use religions as their reasons why things are happening. Not everyone believes in the same thing and some people might take offense to it. I also do not think that the flood and climate change is from the Bible, it just is happening. I do think that congress should spend money on to clean up our country, but more for the animals and environment.
