Immigration Polling Roundup: Americans of All Political Stripes Want Congress to Pass Immigration Reform | Gov&Law Justin Kettner | Scoop.it
Five recent polls illustrate Americans’ broad support for immigration reform that includes a pathway to citizenship for the nation’s 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Our country is always complaint how over crowded we are and how unable we are to afford things also we give all the help in the world to these immigrants but don't seem to help the hard working men and women of America who need it most and deserve it.

Reed Klunder 's curator insight, April 8, 2014 7:20 PM

In this article it talks about the government making illegal immigrants who pay taxes and follow laws, an American citizen. About two- thirds of the people think they should be legalized but not be able to get their American citizenship. They are also debating on whether to tighten the border and make it less easy for those to cross over and so they wouldn't have this problem.

Lakin's comment, April 13, 2014 1:04 AM
I think that the immigration polls are to strict and they should make it easier for immigrants to come over and become American Citizens. I think this would help stop illegal immigrations. It would also, help the dispute simmer out if we make it easier for immigration and if we allow this will it help people have a chance at a better opportunity?
Reed Klunder 's curator insight, April 16, 2014 1:53 PM

The government is trying to decide whether or not to legalize o

all of these immigrants who don't have their citizenship yet or to control the border. The government has a huge decision to make because the polls were so close that it's almost impossible to ignore one or the other. The polls have definitely gone up because in the past years people didn't want the immigrants legalized but now it's becoming more of an issue.

Do Cross-Platform Campaigns Yield Results?

Do Cross-Platform Campaigns Yield Results? | Gov&Law Justin Kettner | Scoop.it

Exposure on different channels results in varied sales lift

It’s easy to think of advertising campaigns on mass media channels like television as a completely different animal than ones designed specifically for digital channels. But research shows that the two can work in tandem to yield good results.

A study conducted by TiVo Research and Analytics, customer research company dunnhumbyUSA and Comcast Media 360 tracked a cross-platform consumer packaged goods campaign conducted in November and December 2012 that used television, online display ads and online video ads. It then compared ad impressions with purchase data to gauge the effect of cross-platform advertising.

Via Russ Merz, Ph.D.
Justin kettner's insight:

more money needs to be spent on multiple kinds of advertisement to get a crossed  for buyers or electors to pick you or you're product. Well it makes sense if you only see one thing and nothing that puts competition against it what will you choose?

pdowds30's curator insight, April 28, 2014 1:54 PM

This article displays the ignorance of some police officers today. The rights offered to citizens by the first amendment are a required study for a police officer to become a police officer. I'm baffled that many are not aware of the constitution

Logan Felten's comment, May 27, 2014 9:18 AM
The cops are doing their job correctly by arresting on a public sidewalk. The protesters are protected under the first amendment so the cops are going against the 1st amendment and the protesters rights to freedom of speech. The arresting part of it might not have been needed, maybe a warning but even then, they're protected under the 1st amendment.

This is a good way for the government to start an issue over money . They want their state to stop smoking and be "safe" but yet e-cigs are proven not to be much better. Water vapor is just as hard on your lungs as smoke may not have all the chemicals but fills your lungs up with water. Judge fines man $150,000 over retaining wall project - JSOnline | Gov&Law Justin Kettner | Scoop.it

After 3½ years of fighting over a grubby acre of empty, unusable land on Milwaukee's west side, the city appears to have finally declared checkmate on the owner who tried to develop the site without following rules.

This article is basically based upon the 8th Amendment 'Fines, bail and cruel and unusual punishment'. I don't blame Milwaukee for wanting to fine him for breaking the rules that the property had. Stoss was being completely greedy for 3 1/2 years for a piece of property that he had no money on paying back after being fined for breaking the rules. He should've known what he was getting himself into. Now after all the construction and noise the neighbors had to deal with, Stoss should pay it back to be equal. Now since he can't pay back the property Fuchs suggests that he moves out of Milwaukee.
