Kameron Coe's insight:

This article talks about how we shouldnt be able to vote till we are 18 because are brain isnt fully developed till we are 25. I completly disagree and this amendment shoud not be repealed

This amendment does not need to be repealed. It would be pointless. This would take the power away from younger people.
Erika Mathias's comment, February 25, 2013 12:36 PM
I agree, this amendment doesn't need to be repealed. Yes, it makes sense because younger kids' brains aren't fully developed, but even what difference would that make? Not like the ages of 18-24 is majority of the vote or would make a huge difference in the election votes.

PrisonPlanet.com » New Amendments Introduced To Halt Indefinite Detention of Americans | Gov & law current events | Scoop.it

Two new amendments that would attempt to halt the indefinite detention of American citizens on U.S. soil under a section of the National Defense Authorization Act have been introduced and could be voted on by the end of the day, even as Obama administration lawyers reaffirmed their backing for state sponsored assassination of U.S. citizens.

Kameron Coe's insight:

i honestly dont think we need more amendments specially ones that affect us like this one

I agree. I don't think we need anymore unless they are going to change for the good.
Erika Mathias's comment, February 13, 2013 9:50 AM
I don't believe that an amendment is necessary if it's going to make the government capable of striping down a citizen's rights, and ship them off to never be seen again. The United States says they offer freedom and hope for everyone, I'm sure a big reason why people come to this country in the first place is to be treated the way we advertise our country, not to be looked down upon and thought as someone trying to cause trouble with us. There are better things to do.
L. Charles Burch's comment, February 13, 2013 6:27 PM
The amendments were an attempt to HALT indefinite detention of American citizens. As proven in other posts on MN News Hound, the amendments were ineffectual in their language anyway. The Patriot Act and NDAA laws are clearly an unconstitutional overreach of government power and need to be repealed. I'm following the court case by Chris Hedges against the NDAA closely. It's sad to say, but the USA is now under siege by foreign interests hellbent on it's demise.
