To me, this is just sad, its good that they are offering money to help find the killer, but that's not going to bring back this kids life.. I hope that someone who knows something makes a confession.

Riley Hanson's comment, May 20, 2013 3:34 PM
You are for sure right Ben, money is not going to bring back this innocent child..

Riley Hanson's insight:

he said that our country lets people all over the world in, and yes I agree.  But in today's society it seems like it's a bad idea.... is our country being used for certain or better  schooling or just certain things? i don't think it's right on how people can come over here and all of a sudden decide to hurt our country in some sort of way like this senseless killing .

Ben Johnson's curator insight, March 14, 2013 12:20 PM

This one I thought was pretty messed up.. but I think that if they have enough to prove besides a little blood splat on his shirt.. that he should be kept in the jail until his official court sentence. Murder is a little different especially if the person actually committed a crime as serious as murder.

Riley Hanson's comment, March 14, 2013 1:42 PM
they should have more evidence besides that splat of blood, because that could be the victims and not the suspects, even if it were the suspects blood, they would have the DNA but they should always have more evidence, in case that proof isn't good enough.
Riley Hanson's comment, March 14, 2013 1:43 PM
but yes ben in the long run i do agree with you that he should be kept in jail

Daily Kos: 'If I were on the Court,' Obama would vote for marriage ... | Gov and Law Skinny Current events | Scoop.it
His administration's amicus brief in the Prop 8 case made a more limited argument for marriage equality in states that already have civil unions laws for same-sex couples, and, answering questions at his sequester press conference, Obama defended...
Riley Hanson's insight:

There should be same sex marriage, they are no different from an ordinary couple.

Exactly Riley, why can't they marry. They have all the same rights as regular men and woman.

'Proud' Minn. gays and lesbians wonder: What's after marriage vote? | Gov and Law Skinny Current events | Scoop.it
Same-sex couples who've been together for years will soon have the option of getting married if the Minnesota Senate, as expected, passes legislation today legalizing same-sex marriage and recognizing out-of-state marriages.

Via MsHaeussinger
Riley Hanson's insight:

This will be very good for Minnesotans, people will no longer have to go to another state to get married, they can stay right here in Minnesota.  If only this passed awhile ago....

Reanna Ostreng's comment, May 16, 2013 8:57 PM
I am also glad this passed. I believe that everyone should be treated equally and anyone should have the right to the pursuit of happiness and marry who they want.
Brian Burroughs's comment, May 19, 2013 11:09 AM
I am all for gay rights, but does this mean they are going to start getting more money for college and getting accepted into college more easily because they are a part of the sexual minority like the people of racial minorities are? Better not.
Riley Hanson's comment, May 20, 2013 3:27 PM
I am very happy this passed, People have the right to love and to be with whoever they want, you cannot take away people's happiness.

Riley Hanson's insight:

Banning guns to me would be a really good tihng, but unfortunately i know they cannot take away the right to bare arms.  I think there should be something done about gun control!!!

Ben Johnson's curator insight, February 26, 2013 11:14 AM

Personly, I feel as though the whole banning guns thing is not a fair thing. Some people carry guns for protection, because you never know what could happen, or like if someone breaks into your house? What are you suppose to do to protect yourself if you are not allowed to hold a fire arm...

Riley Hanson's comment, February 27, 2013 6:34 PM
I think banning guns especially assault riffles would be a good thing, unfortunately it can't happen because they can't take away the right to bare arms.
MsHaeussinger's comment, February 27, 2013 6:44 PM
While the government cannot take away 2nd Amendment rights without re-amending the Constitution, they are able to limit it with laws.
