View my SlideShare Deck on how I compared 10 social media marketing sites using Alexa and SimilarWeb statistics comparing these sites by:

Before reading this article, I was equating Time on Site as Dwell Time when in fact, its similar but not the same.

Google’s Hummingbird and the Entity Search Revolution

Google retooled its search engine late last year, introducing a new system called Hummingbird that moves beyond keyword search and into entity search. Learn the difference between entity vs. keyword search on both Google and Bing, and how SEOs can and should  take advantage of this change.

This is a good outline for people who want to use social media to their advantage. In the communication privacy management theory , rule #2 states that people control their private information through the use of personal privacy rules. However , we  must  have an offline social support network as well or we will fall prey to the attraction and liking motives, that can cause us to loosen our privacy boundaries.

32 Tools providers discuss their favorite social media software | Google Plus and Social SEO | Scoop.it
There is a lot of social media software tools available but which are the best ones? Find out what the social media tool providers think.
Neil Ferree's insight:

What makes this list of 32 SMM tools so appealing is that the recommendations come from a cadre of SMM tools providers, especially since they couldn't select (vote for) their own tool.

If nothing else, its a good benchmark to confirm what SMM tools you are currently using vs. what these SMM tool providers recommend or in my case, the SMM tools currently in my SMM toolkit include:

  • Feedly
  • Mention
  • HootSuite
  • Buffer
  • Rapportive
  • Google Analytics
  • Nimble
  • Disqus
  • Canva
  • Topsy
  • Circloscope
  • Circlecount
When it comes to researching and reporting on SMM tools and processes, few outshine Ian in this area. So when he highly recommends Optinmonster, its probably a smart to check it out.
