We tend to ignore a lot of things just because it is too simple..It is the same with blogging as well.. This is a nice article that reinforces a lot of these basics..

Great advice. For tourism and hospitality practitioners, it is so important to be sensitive to the traveler's experience, where they are in their travel cycle and offering specific value for them that is accessible.

It's not often that you see the advice to be emotional in your content. But, folks, it's *social* media, after all. You need to Be a Person (the name of our book series http://bit.ly/OrderBeAPerson ) to make that connection with your readers. Delete the scoop?

well, it is a pity that two skilled professionals do not know to how to do converge assertively their differences, and result in better contents, and content curation. Both of you are partly right and partly wrong, under my point of view, and instead of focusing in your differences, why don´t you focus on what may bring you together?

@pawan @giuseppe I appreciate your work, both. We should value the mere fact that you and we are able to share diverging point of views on an open Platform like Scoop.it. That is true Social Content Curation, isn't it?

I often have trouble finding useful, current info about Social Media--particularly about the different categories or tools that fall under the domain of Social Media. Any reliable information detailling how to use specific social media apps/widgets etc. is most appreciated! Delete the scoop?

I have found that there are tons and tons of strategies to SEO. Some beginners that enter are just bewildered by the amount of information they feel is needed to be learned.
Gaurav Pandey's comment,
May 11, 7:35 PM
Hi David, I feel it's the same for marketing, if not more overwhelming. However, going forward we will see a lot of overlap between the two roles and it's probably not going to affect those who are really good at SEO, but a lot of people with intermediate-advanced knowledge who call themselves SEO pro's will surely come under the pump as a marketing expert could acquire intermediate SEO skills if he has to.

Use the 50/30/20 Rule Weintraub and Litwinka’s spin on Facebook content calls for 50/30/20 rule.
1. 50 percent news: Include a custom blend of third party, non-competitive content from sites such as AllTop.com and Buzzfeed.com industry
2. 30 percent personality: Highlight a sparkle of strategic personalization and personality with real time journalism that can only happen on your Facebook Page.
3. 20 percent business: After you’ve given away all the friendship bracelets, it is time for business and put on the most tasteful type of branded, self promotional content. Delete the scoop?

Really good stuff, especially Google's variation on the online marketing funnel, showing that the items at the top of the funnel - display for branding, social for general exploration - are in the zone labeled "assists" in the conversion (read: cannot usually measure its benefit). However, Google Analytics has a way to report on social media channels that id, in fact, assist with a sale so that you can take a deep breath before pruning the marketing budget. Delete the scoop?
