With more than 1 billion people on the social network, you can conduct a lot of market research for marketing and particularly Facebook ads. 


If you are an online, retail, or network marketer selling healthy food products, supplements, or glueten free cookbooks, you could search for 'Friends who like Whole Foods."  then friends of friends who like Whole Foods and then friends of friends of friends who like Whole Foods.  drill down your search with the many sorts available within Graph Searcvh and then test, test, test.  Target marketing will improve every ad campaign.


Facebook is only one piece of your marketing funnel but requires the same business best practices approach as all platforms.  Learning about custom apps/tabs, landing pages, mobile, and tracking require time and effort.

BLACKSBURG -- Lujure Media, a fast-growing Internet company born in a spare room above a Blacksburg bar a year and a half ago, on Friday announced $550,000 in outside funding to further develop its Facebook page-customization tool.


The student-founded company, which already is collecting revenue of $100,000 a month, expects to expand employment from nine to 30 this year and apply the added money to refine its offerings, said company President Nathan Latka.

For the third consecutive year, CMO.com have released their CMO’s (Chief Marketing Officer’s) Guide To The Social Landscape.


Five new members have made the roster this year, including Pinterest and Google+.


The infographic is presented below in full. However, if you visit the CMO website the visual can be sorted by customer communication, brand exposure, site traffic and SEO. Somewhat surprisingly, CMO rated Google+ as the top social network in three of these categories, with Twitter securing the number one spot in site traffic.*


Still, this is a useful one-stop summary of the pros and cons of the different social networks, and a fantastic resource for both brands and marketers.
