Will Google Bring Back Google Authorship?

Will Google Bring Back Google Authorship? | Google Plus Business Pages | Scoop.it

The reasons why Authorship was killed still remain. As with any change in Google search, we'll probably never know all the reasons behind it, but the public reasons stated by John Mueller centered around Google's commitment to a "mobile first" user experience strategy. Mobile first is a recognition that search is more and more a mobile experience. Recently, Google announced that more of all searches are now done on mobile than desktop. That trend will likely never reverse.

Neil Ferree's insight:

The odds of Google Authorship coming back in its previous form is somewhere between slim and none. Personalized Results still render ones rich snippet (head shot) in the SERP's and that one element is good enough for me from a branding perspective.

Rebranding is rebirth. New York design and marketing firm Mode Design Group—which today becomes full-service agency Viceroy Creative—took that notion pretty seriously, as its principals posed for rebranding ads stark naked, fresh from the brand ID womb.

We didn't have time to think about the fact that we're standing there naked in a room full of clothed people. Robert and his team were so professional, and we moved quickly through many scenes. Stewart Irvine's curator insight, November 13, 2015 1:04 PM

There's no way a brand can create all the content needed to feed consumers' voracious appetite for video, especially on mobile devices. There isn't enough time, money, or resources. The trick is to create content gradually and build an engaging library over time. That might sound daunting with a traditional production mind-set as a reference point. But to produce at scale requires rethinking that production process, and getting a little help while you're at it.

How to build the perfect pricing page on your website

How to build the perfect pricing page on your website | Google Plus Business Pages | Scoop.it
There are many elements to take into account when creating a pricing page. From strategy to messaging and finally the design, each element has an active and important role in converting visitors into paying customers. Below I have divided the building of a pricing page into two main categories: The strategy and the design.

Each part of the pricing page structure is important for increasing conversion rate. Take a look at the pricing page examples below to see what other businesses are doing, the good, the bad and how to fix it.

Building a Pricing Page Strategy
When it comes to our purchasing habits many different elements influence our decision making process. From evaluating the decision to be made, gathering the right information, identifying the options, weighing the alternatives and finally making a decision, many psychological triggers kick in and effect our final decision. There are many elements to take into consideration before the actual design.

Longer Search Queries Are the Norm: What It Means for SEO

Longer Search Queries Are the Norm: What It Means for SEO | Google Plus Business Pages | Scoop.it
Eliminating keyword-based strategies and optimizing long-tail keywords are just two ways search marketers can take action, as queries increasingly become longer.
Neil Ferree's insight:

Google uses a process called "semantic search," which analyzes the intention of a user's query, then searches for sites whose capabilities make them good fits for serving that intention. Because of this change, users are finding the traditional, short, keyword-based queries to be less effective at getting relevant results than longer, more conversational queries. In fact, many users are asking full, specific questions rather than searching for a general topic.
